An opportunity has arisen for a Credit Controller and Sales Ledger Clerk to join Dempsey Dyer Ltd in our Accounts Department.
We are a long established SME family owned and run Timber and PVC window and door manufacturing company based in Yorkshire looking for a driven individual to undertake primarily the key functions of Credit Control and Sales Ledger.
Responsibilities will include setting up new accounts, monitoring credit limits and liaising with our credit insurers, chasing overdue accounts, daily invoicing and allocating cash for both our trade and commercial customers.
Responsibilities will also include monitoring and chasing retention’s on commercial jobs.
You will need to work pro-actively, possess excellent team working and communication skills, possess a high degree of accuracy, along with an organised, reliable and flexible approach to your work.
You will need to possess strong IT skills which will allow you to gather data and provide relevant information to Department Heads for decision making purposes.
This role reports into the Financial Controller and is a member of a team of four.
Previous credit control experience within a similar environment is preferable.
Relevant experience of Microsoft 365 Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel, is essential and knowledge of Pegasus Opera is advantageous.
