BSI Assessment Success

This month Dempsey Dyer have been audited by BSI as part of their continuing assessment scheme relating to their BSI registered quality management system.
Dempsey Dyer are proud to announce the assessment has been a complete success with no non-conformities raised during the visit. This highlights the commitments shown by Dempsey Dyer towards operating in accordance with the scope of their quality management system.
Visits were made by two separate BSI employees on the 10th and 11th February and both assessments received a highly positive report from BSI.
This month's visit saw the following areas of Dempsey Dyer audited:
- Quality Management Responsibility - Internal audits, NCR's, corrective and preventative action,
- Timber Production - Purchasing of timber stock, manufacturing, assembly and finishing processes.
- PVCu Manufacture - Product identification, daily machine checks, product samples for testing.
Feedback received from both assessors has been highly positive with suggestions for continued improvement taken on board.
Dempsey Dyer saw an overhaul of their quality management system in 2009 and during August 2009 the system was successfully upgraded to the 9001:2008 standard. This month's visit has built on the success of upgrading to the 2008 standard with the results of improvements made over the last 6 months becoming clear.
Improved marketing support for Dempsey Dyer's customers has been provided in response to customer feedback as a result of a 2009 survey. Improvements relating to the efficiencies of Dempsey Dyer's manufacturing processes continue to go ahead with a high level of investment been placed in new machinery in a bit to increase production capacity and provide greater redundancy for existing machines.
Dempsey Dyer have once again shown their commitment in operating to a quality management system. The benefits of manufacturing products to a BSI quality management system are clear.
