Document L Legislation Changes for Replacement Windows
Date: 21/06/2010
Following the recent changes to "Document L" of the Building Regulations, Dempsey Dyer are ensuring all their customers are prepared for the implementation due to commence in October 2010. These regulations are designed to improve the thermal performance of replacement windows installed into existing properties. New Build properties have their own specific standards to achieve.
Both their UPVC Windows and Timber Windows have been upgraded to ensure compliance and Dempsey Dyer have created an information pack for their customers, explaining the different methods available to achieve compliance.
All three of the Deceuninck UPVC Window Systems manufactured by Dempsey Dyer can achieve the necessary Window Energy Rating of "C" to satisfy the revision to Part L. Not only this, but all three UPVC window systems can also achieve "B" and "A" Ratings thus offering their customers sales advantages over the competition.
The unique Dempsey Timber Window range has been re-designed to ensure that the necessary whole frame u-value of 1.6w kw/h is achieved. This allows for all our replacement windows to meet the changes to legislation of Document L.
Not only have Dempsey Dyer created a ready-made solution for their customers, they are also offering to negotiate improved glass rates with a leading sealed unit supplier giving Dempsey Dyer customers a significant price advantage over their rivals. And, as this supplier has multiple depots throughout the country, there is sure to be an outlet close by to each installer giving peace on mind to supply.
Further to the significant product upgrades, Dempsey Dyer have also released a new range of product literature designed to aid their nationwide network of trade installers in "up-selling" the product to the retail consumer. With the ability to personalise much of the marketing offering for both UPVC and Timber Window, Door and Conservatory products, Dempsey Dyer's customers have, on offer, a professional sales approach that matches the quality of the product and the installation service they provide. As the majority of Dempsey Dyer's customers' business is based on recommendations, the improved marketing portfolio increases the number of satisfied customers and therefore the number of recommendations.
Such initiatives are what ensure Dempsey Dyer maintains its reputation, built over 33 years, as one of the most respected UPVC and Timber Window, Door and Conservatory manufacturers in the country. With customers ranging from Local Authorities to regional trade installers, Dempsey Dyer's unique ability to adapt to the marketplace quickly drawing on skills developed in most major sectors of the fenestration industry guarantees their customers are always at the forefront of product upgrades and marketing initiatives. This solid platform provides the company with the confidence that it will be providing the same quality product and service to its customers 33 years further on.
