GreenteQ Sigma Door Hinge Launch

From the 1st February 2010, all PVCu door products manufactured for the trade by Dempsey Dyer Ltd will be fitted with the new GreenteQ Sigma Door Hinge.
The launch introduces the new hinges which come with a choice of six colours and these include; white, brown, tan, black, gold and chrome. Hinge colour options are to be added to Dempsey Dyer's order forms and should be completed to avoid any possible delivery delays.
The look of each hinge is also enhanced by a cover over the adjustment gap between the sash and frame parts. Although looks are important, Sigma is also as robust as you would expect it to be and gives ample 3D adjustment to make installation simple.
GreenteQ Sigma is a premium quality flag hinge for rebated doors with upstand heights between 13.5 and 25.5mm, utilising either of the two body sizes along with additional packers if required (supplied separately).
The quality and reliability of Dempsey Dyer's PVCu Doors will be maintained as all coloured hinges have been tested to achieve a corrosion resistance of grade 5, BS EN 1670. Sigma is able to carry sashes of 80kg with two hinges or 120kg with three, and provides a maximum opening angle of 190°.
Adjustment is carried out in three directions with a standard 5mm Allen key. Lateral adjustment of +/- 5mm is available, along with +/- 0.75mm for compression. An additional compression adjustment of +/- 0.75mm can be achieved by rotating the pin bush during assembly. Height adjustment of +4/-1mm is possible, whilst any gap between the sash and frame parts is hidden by the gap cover.
The Sigma hinge has been styled to match the existing range of Hoppe door handles, and is designed to comply with BS EN 1935, Single-Axis Hinges. They are capable of meeting the requirements of PAS23 (General Performance Requirements for Door Assemblies). To help reduce the effectiveness of a direct attack, there is a minimal space between the flag and body. Using the large fixing screws supplied, these hinges are able to help obtain and exceed the requirements of PAS24 (Enhanced Security Performance for Door Assemblies).
