Haffner Machinery Arrival
Date: 09/02/2010
Today saw the delivery of a set of Haffner machinery products to Dempsey Dyer's PVCu window, door and conservatory fabrication unit.
Headlining the delivery is a Haffner SBA 4 machine centre. The SBA 4 will provide a valuable backup to the BJM machine centre currently in operation and will not only provide fault tolerance but will also increase production capacity.
The Haffner technology present in the machine centre includes the following:
- Profile independent single bar preparation.
- Pliers feeding system via rack, sprockets, linear bearing and high dynamic servo motors guaranteeing fast throughput rate.
- Working stations with high frequency motors, linear Guiding, interpolation AC motors and ball bearing spindles.
- Variable optimisation program according to chosen production methods.
The SBA 4 machine centre is scheduled to join PVC fabrication operations from the 1st March 2010 once installation and testing has been completed.
Providing a valuable backup to Dempsey Dyer's currently operating Hollinger welding system will be a Haffner 4 head inline welder. A Haffner corner cleaner will also be introduced to the PVCu window, door and conservatory fabrication line together with a bead saw.
Dempsey Dyer decided to invest in the Haffner machinery due to a positive sales forecast for 2010 and 2011. With increased marketing efforts, Dempsey Dyer hope to introduce new customers to their already impressive portfolio of both trade and commercial customers.
This Haffner machinery investment provides an increased frame capacity with improved fault tolerance which will be a significant benefit to Dempsey Dyer's customer base.
The investment highlights Dempsey Dyer's commitments to a lean manufacturing environment and to provide a better service for their customers.
